“The Passing Of Seasons”

The days to remember
were always in September.
When the leaves started to fall
and our hearts grew on the vine,

the days of  roses and red, red wine,
the days when everything was fine.

We flamed passion's ember
embracing warmly in December.
When the snow started to fall
and our souls were blanketed in white,

glistening like the stars of midnight
a romantic stroll under moonlight.

On any crisp clear Spring day
our attitude was come what may,
as we kissed in the field of our love
planning our future romantic schemes,

this was our fulfilled come true dream,
making love by our crystal blue stream.

Suddenly you closed your eyes
my dead soul dawned no disguise
It was Summer, I was living by myself
now my ruined heart withers on the vine

so I laid down to finally close mine
no more roses and no more red, red wine.
