“Flight Of The Dove”

From the black of space
to the blue of heaven,
I miss your face
at a quarter past seven.

Your side of the bed
is cold as ice,
is our love truly dead,
a call would be nice.

Pick up the phone
to hear my voice,
alone, chilled to the bone,
this wasn’t my choice.

Love lingers in my heart,
hopefully alive in yours.
You decided to depart
far away as the dove soars.

Wishing you find peace
on your long journey.
Maybe your pain will cease,
you’ll find serenity.

You’ll always have a home
here in your loving life.
Please no longer roam,
your loss cuts like a knife.

Tear drenched pillow,
memories of your eyes
under the Weeping Willow
burn a brilliant sunrise,

deep, deep in my spirit.
It’s the song of the dove,
can you sincerely hear it,
it’s here to save our love.
