“Ghost Walking”

There behind
the dreams of life she stands,
watching
my every move.

An aching need
deep within her once human heart,
hauntingly
familiar her pale blue eyes are.

Her movements
evoke romance in my memories,
of what
used to be a passionate affair.

Seemingly
transparent by the sun’s rays,
an epiphany
to my hungering embrace.

Missing her kiss,
tasting it from the abyss,
remembering
the sweetness lingering longer.

I hold out
my hand to her devotingly,
unconditionally,
she takes it to feel my warmth.

At that moment
embracing what once was,
a specter
of what is supernaturally now.

Restless nights
leads to dreams of eternal love,
awakened
by an imitate kiss.

Opening my eyes
to see her gaunt, pearl white skin,
in the glimmer
of the starry, starry night.

Realizing
another journey taken asleep,
has guided me
to my ethereal ghost walking.
